LXH version - with Low Hydrogen Cross-Sensitivity
Where it is important to utilise a Carbon Monoxide sensor offering low Hydrogen cross-sensitivity, the LXH CO sensor is ideal. Available as a single sensor, in combination with a 4-20mA transmitter or as a complete housed solution.
This sensor is popular for medical applications and particularly for smoking cessation. It is also utilised where Hydrogen is present in industrial or public areas. The two-electrode LXH CO sensor is designed for the detection of Carbon Monoxide in air, where Hydrogen may be present as a cross-interferent.
The primary application of the LXH sensor is for the measurement of Carbon Monoxide in breath, making this sensor ideal for monitoring equipment utilised in ‘stop smoking’ programmes.

Carbon Dioxide CO2 C1 & C2 Miniature Infrared Sensors
Our miniature sensors are fast response, ultra low power 3.5mW, solid state, infrared sensors for an extensive range of applications. This exciting technology brings fast response, real time sensing plus high accuracy and long-term stability. Available as a sensor with digital or analogue transmitter and offering a USB cable
The sensors are particularly ideal for portable and battery powered instruments. Optional temperature and humidity outputs are also available. Measurement of CO2 is offered in real time or as an averaged/integrated response signal, which can be selected depending upon the application.
The ranges for the C1 are 0-2000ppm, 0-1%, 0-2%. The ranges for the C2 are 0-5%, 0-20%, 0-65% and 0-100% volume CO2. Optional ranges are available on request from 200ppm to 100%.
High performance LEDs and photodiodes offer low power, fast response, intrinsic safety and sunlight immunity. This sensor technology benefits from being a semiconductor ensuring it is very stable over many years, is resistant to environmental effects, such as humidity and poisoning, and is usable over a wide temperature range, with little environmental impact.
Analogue and digital electronic interface options provide a temperature compensated and linearised CO2measurement that can be customised to suit specific customer requirements.

C3 Industrial Infrared Sensors

The innovative material and construction of a double beam infrared measuring system ensures Carbon Dioxide is detected quickly and precisely.

Oxygen O2 O2 SL Electrochemical Sensors

SL Oxygen sensors from Sixth Sense overcome the problems associated with standard metal can sensors. They are designed to be directly interchangeable with current sensors incorporated into fixed and portable gas detectors.
Typical applications include the measurement of Oxygen deficiency in confined spaces such as tunnels, mines or chemical plant or for the analysis of combustion gases in flues and chimney stacks.
The SL’s shock resistant, leak free design ensures lifetime reliability. High sensor to sensor repeatability and tolerance to temperature and pressure transients also contribute to highly reliable performance. All have lifetimes of 18 months.

Flammable Gases Pellistors & Zellpell
The latest catalytic gas sensors from Sixth Sense offer new levels of poison resistance and lifetime for flammable gas detection. These can be purchased as pellistor pairs or as the Zellpell sensor. The Zellpell is available as a single sensor, in combination with a 4-20mA transmitter or as a complete housed solution
Sixth Sense pellistors allow you to reduce calibration requirements, increase customer confidence and repeat business.
All pellistors are attacked by certain vapours and in particular, by silicone and Hydrogen Sulphide. The CAT16 sensor will survive up to 20 times longer than other ‘poison resistant’ sensors. Sixth Sense pellistors often exhibit lifetimes in excess of 5 years.
CAT16 elements are available for fixed point systems, whilst the CAT25 suits portable devices.
The CAT25 sensor is amongst the most power efficient worldwide. If required, this can be supplied in metal housing and fitted with an integral flame arresting sinter, making it ideal for use in certified equipment – please ask about our Zellpell sensor. A life time of two years and the option of a 4-20mA transmitter, provides an easy solution for the measurement of Nitrogen Dioxide. This is available as a single sensor, in combination with a 4-20mA transmitter or as a complete housed solution
Directives to limit and decrease Nitrogen Dioxide emissions are becoming more commonplace around the world. Power stations and traffic are the main sources. Major road networks and urban areas have the highest levels of Nitrogen Dioxide. However, in homes with gas stoves, kerosene heaters, or unvented gas space heaters, indoor levels often exceed outdoor levels and put at risk people’s health.
